PODIATRIST

Mr Pierre Michel Petkovic, is the podiatrist at the Medical Center in Uccle. He is licensed in foot therapy and a teacher at the Higher Studies Institute  “Parnasse-2 Alice”.

The Podiatrist acts on the structure of the foot. After a detailed walking and posture analysis, the podiatrist will produce thermoformed orthopedic soles to be placed in the patient's shoe. These soles are used to correct the posture or any biomechanical imbalance.

Many problems can be corrected or mitigated by a podiatrist:

  • Foot pain (regardless of its location, toes, heels, ankles, plant, dorsum of the foot)

  • Foot deformity

  • Postural disorders (note a third observing a change in walking and posture)

  • knee pain, hip pain or back pain

  • Tendinitis (tendons inflammation)

  • Neuralgia (nerve irritation)

  • Osteoarthritis (degeneration of joint cartilage without particular infection or inflammation)

  • Capsulitis (benign inflammation of the capsule, that is to say, the membrane surrounding a joint, resulting in a decreased joint capacity)

In sports, some activities may increase the risk of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. A consultation with a podiatrist is recommended.

Mr Pierre Michel PETKOVIC, consults every Friday afternoon at Medicine Centre. For any question or to set up an appointment, please contact directly the podiatrist at the following number: 0475 49 26 25
