The Global Medical Record (GMD) consists of all your medical data (analysis results, X-ray protocols, etc.) and can be access by your family doctor.
This record was created by the I.N.A.M.I. to ensure centralization of data.
Consultations with multiple different doctors cause indeed an accumulation of similar or even useless examinations and this lack of coordination and synthesis is detrimental to the patient's health.
Any patient can benefit from the Global Medical File whatever his age and his state of health. It is renewed every year.
The registration of the Global Medical Record is done during a consultation or visit of the attending physician and it is completely free; it costs 30 euros fully reimbursed by your mutual.
